Claudia Frost - Exhibition Poster
This is an A0 poster I designed for an exhibition of encaustic painting by Claudia Frost.
Encaustic painting uses hot wax & involves an enormous amount of patience & expertise as the wax is gradually added in layers & then pushed, pulled & scraped to reveal incredible details or “moments” across the work.
The poster uses a section of a piece called “Clarice” which is itself only about nine inches square.
Focussing in on a small section of the painting reveals how much exquisite detail these is to be seen when you spend time with these works.
Shown below is the final poster & below that “Clarice” in its entirety, followed by some close-up details.
Claudia’s work is not all abstract in nature. She also likes to paint the countryside as well being fascinated by the urban landscape.
